Does MaxHaven provide my medications directly?
No. MaxHaven Rx works with hospice organizations. Your hospice arranges your medications, and MaxHaven helps that hospice manage pharmacy pricing, its formulary and a network of independent pharmacies.
Who should I call about a specific prescription or delivery?
Your hospice care team. Your nurse or the hospice office can check the order, the pharmacy and the delivery for you, following the hospice’s own procedures.
Does Medicare cover hospice medications?
Under the Medicare Hospice Benefit, drugs for pain relief and symptom management related to the terminal illness are part of hospice care, paid for by the hospice through its daily rate. Medicare.gov explains what is covered and what you may pay.
Why does my hospice use a pharmacy benefit manager?
